President’s Dog Pees in Palace – level 2
10-11-2017 07:00
French President Macron has a dog named Nemo who is allowed to come into meetings at the Elysée Palace. This, however, is not always a good idea! During one meeting, Nemo relieved himself on an old fireplace! The president and staff laughed a lot in response.
One staff member asked if this happens often, to which the president responded ‘no’ and added that perhaps the staff members made Nemo act unusually.
Maybe President Macron knows where the governments leaks are coming from now!
Difficult words: relieve (go to the bathroom), government leak (this is a joke—a ‘leak’ can be when someone hides who he or she is and tells secrets, and a ‘leak’ is an idiom that means ‘peeing’).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
