Yemen Gets Help – level 1

Yemen is in a war. There are air, land, and sea blockades. The country is running out of fuel. People cannot get clean water without fuel.

Almost 16 million people do not have clean water. Many people have cholera. The situation can get worse without clean water.

Recently, people send food, water and other supplies to Yemen. They hope that this can help. They hope that it can help stop the sicknesses.

Difficult words: blockade (when people stop other people from getting supplies during a fight), fuel (material like coal or oil for energy), cholera (a sickness from unclean water).
