Trump in Britain – level 2

The American President Trump came to England on Friday, and first met with the Prime Minister Theresa May. They held a press conference together, as May and Trump want to work towards a free trade agreement between Britain and the USA.

Trump said that he does not care if Britain is in or out of the EU. Trump and the First Lady also met the Queen at Windsor Castle.

Before and during Trump’s visit, there were protests. Tens of thousands of people protested in Central London, and one of the things that they protested against was Trump’s immigration policy.

Difficult words: press conference (an event when somebody speaks to the press/media), agreement (a contract, rules), policy (a principle, a plan).
