New Trade Agreement – level 3
04-12-2018 07:00
The American President Trump, the Canadian President Justin Trudeau and the former (since December) President of Mexico, Peña Nieto, signed a new US-Mexico-Canada trade agreement.
The signing of the agreement took place at the G20 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, but it was mostly ceremonial, as the agreement still needs to be approved and put into practice by all countries before it takes effect. It replaces NAFTA which the countries signed in 1994.
Difficult words: former (-ex), NAFTA (North American Free Trade Agreement).
