Spongebob on Netflix – level 2

Spongebob Squarepants is an animated TV show which started on TV in 1999 and it is still on TV today.

Actor Bill Fagerbakke gave the voice to one of the characters. In the beginning, he thought that the show was not very good, but he quickly changed his opinion. He realized that it was very special.

An American TV network wants to make business of more than $200 milion with Netflix. Netflix hopes to compete with Disney Plus, a new company with children’s programs.

Stephen Hillenburg made Spongebob. He remembers how much he enjoyed animated TV shows when he was a child. He is happy to bring this feeling to today’s children.

Difficult words: animated (a film or a TV show which uses art called animations or special computer techniques and there are no real actors), realize (to start thinking), compete (to try to be better than somebody else).
