Instagram Rules – level 2
12-12-2019 07:00
Instagram has a new rule that requires all users to give their birthdays when they make an account. The company says that it can stop very young people from joining the service.
Also, Instagram wants to offer an experience that is more suitable for a certain age and tell its users how to control their accounts.
There is no way that teenagers can prove their age. However, the company believes that most users do not lie about their age.
In the past, critics said that Instagram’s rules were not good enough because new users only confirmed that they were older than 13. It could happen that children saw content that was not appropriate for them. Besides this, it can be against the law to collect data about people who are under 13 years old.
Difficult words: require (to want, to demand), join (to become a member), prove (to show evidence that something is true), content (information, pictures, audio, or text)
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
