Lesotho election – level 1
14-10-2022 15:00
Lesotho is a country in southern Africa. It is an enclave in South Africa. 2.14 million people live there.
Last week, people in Lesotho vote for a new government. A new party wins. Its name is RFP. A rich businessman makes the party in March. The party promises that many things will change in Lesotho. The party doesn’t get enough power in the parliament. RFP will have to work with other parties.
In 1966, Lesotho becomes independent from the UK. The country has many problems. RFP says that its leader will make Lesotho a successful country. He has a lot of business knowledge.
Difficult words: enclave (a country which is within another country), party (a political group), independent (with its own government).
