TikTok is a Chinese social media app. Some US politicians want to ban TikTok in the country.

Last month, a government organization says that TikTok can be dangerous. China can get information about TikTok users in the US. It can control their phones.

Some US states ban TikTok on government phones and computers. President Donald Trump wants to ban TikTok when he is the president. He is not successful. TikTok says that the ban will not make the United States safer.

Another legislation could make it difficult for Chinese companies to get to US banks. Some politicians believe that these companies want to get secret information.

Difficult words: ban (to officially stop something), legislation (law), secret (something that nobody or only a few people know).
