This news is from Nigeria. The country has a new president, Bola Tinubu. He starts his job one month ago. And he is very busy.

Tinubu made many big changes to help the country’s economy. People are happy. But some experts and business leaders worry. They say that there are still big problems. The country has a lot of debt. Many people are without jobs. There is not enough electricity. Corruption makes the situation even worse.

Tinubu stops a popular fuel subsidy. It means that people don’t get money for fuel from the government. He also fires the boss of the central bank. These changes will help Nigeria very much. But prices will go up.

Difficult words: debt (when a person or organization owes money and must give it back), corruption (when a person with an important job does dishonest things), fire (to make someone end in a job).
