iCloud costs too much – level 1
19-11-2024 15:00
Apple goes to court in the UK. A consumer group called ’Which?’ says that Apple makes people use its iCloud service.
Apple charges too much money. ’Which?’ want Apple to pay back 3 billion pounds to British customers. This is about 70 pounds for each person. Apple says it is not true. They say people can use other services if they want. The group says it is hard for people to leave Apple when they start using it.
This is not the only case like this. Other big companies like Google and Facebook also go to court. These cases take a long time. But the group wants to help people get fair treatment.
Difficult words: consumer group (an organization which helps people who buy things and use services), customer (a person who buys things and uses services), treatment (how someone acts towards you).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What is the consumer group 'Which?' accusing Apple of, and how much do they want Apple to pay back to British customers?
