Very Wooly Sheep – level 2
11-08-2022 15:00
An Australian sheep named Chris was living in the wild for several years. His wool grew so much that it put him at risk of dying. He was four to five times his normal size.
People called the national shearing champion for help. Five other shearers and he sedated Chris and gave him a haircut. They removed forty kilograms of wool. Without knowing it, Chris broke a world record.
Difficult words: several (a few), shear (to cut wool), sedate (to calm somebody down or make him or her sleep by giving him or her a drug).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
