Angelina Jolie is an American actor. She is 47 years old. For 10 years, she works as a United Nations (UN) ambassador. Last week, she says she will stop working for the UN.
In the past, Jolie travels to Cambodia. She films the “Lara Croft” movie there. She sees how people in Cambodia live. The event changes her life. She wants to help people in dangerous areas.
In 2001, she starts to work as a UN ambassador. Since 2012, Jolie works for the UN on field missions. She helps in more than 60 missions.
Jolie will continue to help people. She says that helping refugees is a part of her life.
Difficult words: ambassador (a person who works for a country or organization), field mission (a trip to a dangerous area to help people there), refugee (a person who runs away from a country because it is dangerous to stay).
