Angry Animal – level 2

A 26-year-old man went running in Slate Canyon, Utah, US. On a trail, he saw some kittens, and he thought that they were wild kittens. He was right, but he did not expect a mountain lion to start following him.

The lion wanted to protect her cubs, and she was very angry. The man recorded the incident on his phone, and it took six minutes. The man tried to scare the animal away, and he made loud noises. But it did not stop the animal, and she seemed ready to pounce several times.

In the end, the man threw a rock at the lion, and the lion finally ran away.

Difficult words: protect (to keep safe), cub (a baby lion, bear, or wolf), pounce (to jumps to catch something).
