Apple breaks EU rules – level 1
28-06-2024 07:00
Apple has problems with the EU. The company breaks tech rules. This could mean a big fine.
The EU is checking Apple’s new rules. These rules make things hard for app developers. This is the first problem of a big tech company. The EU will decide by March next year.
Apple’s rules stop developers from talking to users and making deals. Apple must change its rules. If not, the company will pay a fine. Apple talks with developers and the EU. There are some changes already.
The EU also says that Apple asks for too much money for new customers in the App Store.
Difficult words: fine (money which you pay if you break a rule), developer (a company or person who makes apps), customer (a person who buys things or services).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What changes has Apple made to its rules in response to the EU's concerns about app developers and pricing in the App Store?
