The first Balloon World Cup happened in Tarragona, Spain.

Barcelona soccer player Gerard Pique and internet star Ibai Llanos organized the event. They got the idea when they saw videos on social media. Three siblings from the US were bored during the COVID-19 lockdown, and they played the game in their living room.

32 countries were in the event, and Francesco De La Cruz from Peru became the first champion. The games took place on a court which looked like a living room, and there was a car in the middle of the room.

The rules of the game are very easy. Players must hit the balloon from below, and the balloon must not hit the ground.

Difficult words: organize (to prepare an activity or event), sibling (a brother or sister), champion (a person who is the best in a match or other sports event).
