Bees attack police – level 2
26-10-2022 07:00
A man lived in a house in Massachusetts, US, for many years. Authorities asked the man to move, but he didn’t do it. He took legal action against the local authorities, and many people supported him.
One of the people was 55-year-old Rorie Woods. Last week, she drove to the man’s house as police were there to get the man out.
Woods was a beekeeper, and she had several beehives stacked on her car. She wanted the officers to leave. She opened one of the beehives and disturbed the bees. The bees got out, and they stung several people.
Police arrested the woman. The county’s sheriff said that he had never seen anyone attack others with bees before.
Difficult words: beekeeper (a person who keeps bees for their honey), beehive (a box in which people keep bees), disturb (to make nervous or upset).
