13-08-2024 07:00

On August 9, a plane crashed near São Paulo, Brazil. 61 people died.

The plane took off from Cascavel and was going to São Paulo’s airport. While flying, it started spinning and crashed in the town of Vinhedo. The crash caused a big explosion. Videos show the plane spinning before hitting the ground. The reason for the crash is not clear yet, but experts think ice or engine problems could be involved.

Experts found the plane’s black box, which records flight data, and are investigating it now. At first, the operator said there were 62 people on board, but later confirmed 57 passengers and 4 crew members.

Difficult words: spin (to turn around in circles), involved (to be related to), black box (a device which records information).
