Can Biden win again? – level 1

11-07-2024 07:00

The first 2024 debate between Trump and Biden is bad for Biden. Biden is 81 years old. He looks confused. Trump is 78 years old. He looks a little better.

Voters and the Democratic Party notice this. Biden says that he will stay in the race. But some people think that he should leave. Elizabeth Holtzman is a former Congresswoman. She says that the party is letting Biden decide. If Biden cannot show that he is strong enough, more people will want a new candidate. Possible new candidates are Vice President Kamala Harris, Governor Gavin Newsom, and Governor Gretchen Whitmer. Holtzman thinks that new candidates could help win against Trump. Trump also has problems. But the Democratic Party needs a good candidate. Holtzman thinks that there are people who can do the job well.

Difficult words: debate (a formal discussion), notice (to see), candidate (a person who wants to get a job or position).

You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.

What are some possible new candidates that could help the Democratic Party win against Trump, according to former Congresswoman Elizabeth Holtzman?
