COVID-19 is still here – level 1
09-08-2024 07:00
The World Health Organization (WHO) says that COVID-19 is still a big problem.
They want governments to vaccinate more people. There are more COVID-19 cases. In Europe, more than 20% of tests are positive. Data from 84 countries shows more positive tests. This is a worry in many countries.
At least 40 athletes at the Olympics have COVID-19 or other breathing problems. Many countries see more COVID-19 cases in all seasons. It shows that COVID-19 is still here with us. Officials need to understand the virus better. People need to get vaccinated. Not so many people get vaccinated these days. This is a big worry.
Difficult words: vaccinate (to give someone a vaccine), data (information), virus (a small organism which makes you sick).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
