Dangerous hoverboards – level 1
08-12-2015 15:00
Hoverboards are popular. People want them for Christmas. However, they are not safe.
In the UK, people test around 17,000 hoverboards. 15,000 of them are not safe. They can catch on fire or even explode!
In October, there are three house fires. Hoverboards cause the fires. Fire officers warn people about this.
Difficult words: hover (to move in the air – the hoverboards are not real hoverboards because they have wheels), however (but; “however” can be used at the beginning of a sentence, “but” cannot).
You can read the original story and watch the video in the Level 3 section.
