Dreamy digital world – level 2
12-12-2022 07:00
In 2001, Toshiyuki Inoko and four of his friends started an art collective called teamLab. An art collective is a group of artists who work together to create artwork.
People who work in teamLab are artists, architects, programmers, and mathematicians, and they want to connect art, science, and the natural world to create artwork. With the help of digital technology, they want to show people that art has no limits.
In 2018, teamLab opened the world’s first digital art museum in Tokyo, and since then, the artists held exhibitions in all the world. Toshiyuki said that digital technology gives a greater experience to visitors. In a forest in Japan, visitors feel the continuity of life, and they wander in a dreamy world and not hurt nature.
Difficult words: limit (how far something can go), continuity (a situation when something continues over time), wander (to walk or more around slowly).
