Gareth Southgate is the England football manager. He quits.

England loses the Euro 2024 final to Spain 2-1. Three years ago, England loses to Italy in the final. Southgate is 53. He leads the team for eight years and 102 games. He says he is happy to manage England. After the match with Spain, Southgate is not sure about his future. And now, he is leaving.

Southgate takes England to the 2018 World Cup semi-final and two European finals. But some people do not like how England plays in the 2024 Euros. In his goodbye, he thanks his players and staff. He hopes that the team will play well in the future.

Difficult words: quit (to leave a job), manage (to be the head of a team or business), staff (all the people who work in an organization).
