Corrida is a Spanish tradition. It is a bullfight. A bullfight is when a person fights a male cow.

In Corrida, a matador fights with a bull. The matador is a person in a beautiful costume. The matador usually kills the bull with a sword. The bullfight is very dangerous for the matador, too. The bull almost always dies.

The bullfight is popular in southern France. Now, the French government wants to ban it. Many French people agree. They say that it is cruel. It should not happen anymore.

French bullfighters worry. They say that the bullfight is a part of their lives. It is a big tradition in the area. It is business, too.

Difficult words: tradition (something that people in an area do for a long time), ban (to officially stop), cruel (when someone wants to hurt others).
