Some EU countries, like France and Italy, are helping Greece with wildfires near Athens.

The fire is very dangerous. It hurts many people. Firefighters find a woman’s body in a burned building. Many fires are burning in different places. People must leave their homes north of Athens. Strong winds make it hard to stop the fire. The flames are very high. A lot of land burns.

Other countries are sending help, like helicopters, to fight the fire. Some people think the Greek government does not do enough to prepare for the fires.

Difficult words: wildfire (a big fire which spreads quickly in nature), flame (the glowing part of a fire), prepare (to get ready for something).
