Hotel Collapse – level 1
18-10-2019 15:00
In New Orleans, Louisiana, a hotel is under construction. A big piece of the hotel suddenly falls to the ground. It injures 18 people.
In the hotel, two people die and one person is missing. People leave the buildings near the hotel. It is dangerous to be there.
A fire official says that firefighters look for the missing person. Rescue workers also look for the victims.
The Louisiana governor says that the event changes quickly. The hotel is not safe. This is because things still fall from the hotel.
Difficult words: under construction (when people build or work on a building), injure (hurt), victim (someone who is hurt or dies).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
