Huawei on Blacklist – level 1
20-11-2019 15:00
Huawei is a Chinese company. It produces smart devices. It is the world leader in information and communications technology.
Some countries worry that Huawei can be dangerous for their security. Huawei is not a Chinese government company. However. it is not clear if the Chinese government has some control over it. The US checks Huawei’s devices. There are some problems with the devices. However, nothing seems really dangerous.
Some countries put Huawei on a blacklist. This means that they believe that Huawei is dangerous. Huawei wants to run the most modern worldwide wireless network. Therefore its structure must be clear. Its devices must be safe.
Difficult words: smart device (an electronic thing that uses modern technologies and apps), blacklist (a list of people or companies that are dangerous), worldwide wireless network (a computer web that does not use any cables and can go all over the world), structure (how something is made).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
