Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi dies in a helicopter crash.

The accident happens near the Azerbaijan border. The weather is bad. Six other people also die. One of them is the Foreign Minister. There are five days of mourning in the country. Mohammad Mokhber will be the new president for now. Some people in Iran are sad about Raisi’s death. But others are not. Some people are even happy about it. This situation shows that people in Iran have different ideas about the government.

The country has many problems. People fight and protest. Some countries are not happy about Iran’s nuclear program and contacts with Russia.

Difficult words: border (a line between two countries), mourning (the time when people are sad after someone dies), nuclear program (getting materials, making and testing a nuclear bomb).
