A few days ago, US President Joe Biden stops his campaign to be the president again. US Vice President Kamala Harris starts her campaign instead of Biden.
Harris has her first big meeting with people in Wisconsin. Wisconsin is a very important state for both parties, Republicans and Democrats. Many people come to see Harris. She visits Wisconsin five times this year. Biden talks about Wisconsin in his speech, too.
The campaign is moving fast. Harris’s supporters want to stop the war in Gaza. This election is not only about Trump. It is about what people believe in.
Difficult words: campaign (activities which someone does to achieve something), speech (speaking formally in front of other people), supporter (a person who likes a political figure, a sports team, and so on).
