Marriage in Taiwan – level 1

There is a new law in Taiwan. Under this law, men can marry men. Women can marry women. Taiwan is the first Asian country where people can do this.

Many people are happy about this new law. They come into the streets. The country’s president is happy, too. She tweets that this makes Taiwan a better country.

Difficult words: law (a document which says what people can or cannot do), marry (become husbands or wives), tweet (say something on Twitter – an Internet website).
