Michael Jackson Documentary – level 1
15-03-2019 15:00
In the UK, a new documentary comes out. It is about the famous singer Michael Jackson. In it, two men say that Jackson sexually abused them when they were children.
In London, Jackson fans protest. Celebrities protest the documentary online. A Jackson family member says that the documentary does not tell everything. It does not say that these men go to court to get money from Jackson’s estate. They try to get millions of dollars. They do not win.
He says that they want the documentary to do well. They are going to court again. The documentary can help them win money.
Difficult words: sexually abuse (when a person hurts another person’s body for sexual reasons), court (an official institution which finds out if someone is or is not a criminal), estate (all of the things and money a person/family has).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
