Over two million acres of farmland are flooded. Farm animals die. Homes and roads are broken. In total, 140 or more people die in India, Nepal, Pakistan and Bangladesh.
Monsoon flooding affects around 6.7 million people in India. India says that it is good to disinfect homes after the flooding.
