Alexei Navalny is the leader of the Russian opposition in the past. He disagrees with leader Putin. Navalny gets 11.5 years in prison. Some people say that he does bad things. Now, he gets 19 more years in prison.
Navalny thinks that leaders try to stop him. He says that in Melekhovo. He says that leaders want to scare people. But many people want Navalny free. People see him as a symbol of Putin. The US and the EU want Navalny to be free.
Difficult words: opposition (people with different political ideas than the leaders), prison (a place where people stay for some time when they do bad things), symbol (a thing or person which represents something else).
