New rules for sex workers in Belgium

This news is from Belgium. Sex workers can now have job contracts like other workers.

This new law starts in May 2024. It helps stop illegal activities. It gives clear rules about these activities. Before the law, sex workers get money in cash or as waitresses. It is not safe for them. Employers must not do any crime. They must let workers say no to clients.

Some people do not like the law. They think that it makes women like products. It does not help migrant sex workers. But many sex workers believe that this change is good. We will see if the law helps in a few years.
