New York’s Hot Dogs – level 2
08-09-2016 15:00
The hot dog is something very typical of New York. One man compared it to the Empire State Building or the Brooklyn Bridge.
One brand of hot dogs is celebrating its 100th birthday. People set a new world record for the longest continuous line of hot dogs by using this brand. They laid out 1,916 buns in total. All of it was 292 metres long.
People made the second longest hot dog in Tokyo. This new hot dog is longer by 34 metres.
Difficult words: compare (if you compare two things, you say that they are similar), continuous (forming one thing, connected), bun (a piece of bread around a sausage).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
