Rain and warm weather melt the snow. It is difficult to do activities like snowmobiling and skiing. Resorts need real snow during a busy time. This strange weather worries people. People in resorts depend on snow. Snow brings more tourists.

Experts say that winters are getting shorter, three weeks less than 100 years ago. This has a big impact on businesses. People must buy technologies to make snow. It is not possible to depend on natural snow only.

Difficult words: snowmobiling (driving a special vehicle which travels on snow and ice), resort (a place which many people visit for holidays), technology (machines).
