Oasis are back – level 3

30-08-2024 07:00

British rock band Oasis is set to reunite after 15 years, following a public feud between the Gallagher brothers that led to their split in 2009.

Noel and Liam Gallagher, the band’s lead guitarist and frontman, announced a series of concerts for 2025, which caused a surge in demand for tickets and hotel rooms. The reunion tour, announced on X, will kick off in Cardiff, Wales, and include 14 shows in cities like Manchester, London, and Dublin. The band hinted at a possible world tour as well. The news led to a 160% increase in streaming of Oasis songs on Spotify, confirming fans’ anticipation for their return.

This tour also coincides with the 30th anniversary of their iconic album ‘(What’s the Story) Morning Glory?’ featuring hits like ‘Wonderwall’ and ‘Don’t Look Back in Anger’. Both brothers have had successful solo careers, but fans have long awaited this reunion.

Difficult words: feud (a prolonged argument or dispute), hint (to suggest indirectly), anticipate (to expect or predict).
