There is an attack in a Paris police office. An attacker kills some people using a knife. French officials say that the man is 45 years old. He works at the police station since 2003.

In the attack, four people die. Another person goes to hospital. We do not know why the attack happens.

The man does not have strange behavior before this event. Also, it is strange that the attacker passes metal detectors without problems.

The Paris Mayor, Ane Hidalgo, writes a post on Twitter. She sends her condolences. She thanks the police for the wonderful job they do in protecting Parisians.

Difficult words: behavior (when you watch how a person or an animal acts), metal detector (a machine that can tell if you have metal and if you maybe have a weapon), condolences (say that you are sad for something bad that happens).
