People do not agree with EU migration policy – level 1
01-04-2024 07:00
A new survey says that many Europeans do not like how the European Union solves migration. People want stronger borders.
In the survey, 51% of people say that they do not like what the EU does about migration. Many people think that the EU makes migration worse. Only 16% are happy about the situation. People in countries like France, Austria, and Hungary are especially unhappy. People who support right-wing parties want stronger borders.
Lots of people across Europe want stricter rules about who can come into their countries.
Difficult words: survey (checking what people think), migration (people traveling to a new place or country), support (to agree with an idea).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
What percentage of people in the survey are unhappy with how the European Union handles migration? How do people in countries like France, Austria, and Hungary feel about the situation? Which political parties are more likely to support stricter border control?
