Prince Harry’s memoir – level 2
12-01-2023 15:00
This week, Prince Harry’s memoir went on sale, and it quickly became one of the UK’s fastest-selling books.
The publisher said that 400,000 copies of the book sold already, and people waited in lines to get their copy on the first day of sale. In the book, Harry speaks about the death of his mother Princess Diana; she died in a car crash when he was only 12 years old. He speaks about drug use to feel better after his mother’s death, and also about killing people as a soldier in Afghanistan.
In the book, Harry gives many details about the relationship with his brother Prince William and also about other members of the royal family. So far, the royal family hasn’t commented.
Difficult words: memoir (a book about your life), publisher (a company that sells work such as books or music), comment (to say your opinions about something).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
