Kate, Princess of Wales, is the wife of Prince William. She is 42 years old. On Friday, she speaks to people in a video message. She has bad news.

Kate is getting chemotherapy. Tests found cancer. Chemotherapy means that she gets strong drugs. These drugs kill cancer cells. This happens after her January surgery. The news is a big shock for all her family. Kate says that she is doing well. She is getting stronger.

Kate and her husband need quiet time with their family. It is important for their children. The palace does not say what cancer Kate has. King Charles, William’s father, is also getting cancer treatment now.
