Russian Statues – level 1
29-09-2017 15:00
In Moscow, Russia, there are two new busts. They are of past leaders from the Soviet times.
One is of leader Joseph Stalin. He killed millions of Russians during his rule. People feel strongly about these busts.
A man says that people can think differently about the past. He says they cannot change it. A woman says that Stalin was terrible. She thinks that people should not remember him. Another man says that it is good to remember history. He says that it is good to remember both the good and the bad.
Difficult words: bust (a statue that is only the head and upper body of a person), Soviet (the times when there was the Soviet Union, nor Russia), rule (when he was the leader).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
