04-04-2018 07:00
David Bowie dies in 2016. Aylesbury is a town in England. It was important for David Bowie. Two thousand people come together there. They remember Bowie together.
They want to build him a statue. In two years, they collect £100,000. They unveil David Bowie’s statue in March 2018. It shows David Bowie and his alter egos.
Some people also want to change the name of the town. It would go from Aylesbury to ‘Aylesbowie’. It would be the town’s 58th name.
Difficult words: was (past of ‘to be’), unveil (show something for the first time), alter ego (a second personality).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
