Syrian Camp in Iraq – level 2

The US army is leaving Syria. This is very bad news for people in Syria because Turkish, Russian, and Syrian troops want to move into this area.

Life in Syria can be dangerous for Syrian Kurds, so they decide to escape and go to a camp in northern Iraq.

However, the Syrian-Iraqi border is closed to them. They spend all their money to get to the camp illegally. When they come, they get a tent and some food. The food lasts them only a few days, and the organizations in the camp do not help them very much.

Difficult words: troops (soldiers), escape (to run away), border (the line which divides two countries).
