Trump Wants Greenland – level 1

President Trump talks about Greenland. He wants to buy this place. Greenland is a Danish island.

Officials from Greenland and Denmark criticize his idea. The Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen tweets about this. She says that she does not want to discuss it. She even calls the idea “absurd.”

Before the tweets, Trump has plans to go to Denmark. The Queen of Denmark invited him. After the tweets, Trump changes his plans. He is not going to Denmark in September.

Difficult words: officials (the people in the government, the “bosses”), absurd (stupid), invited (past of “invite” – ask to come, visit).
