William and Kate cancel a trip to a Belize village

Belize, Jamaica, and the Bahamas are Caribbean countries. They are in the British monarchy.

Barbados is in the Caribbean, too. It is not in the British monarchy anymore. William and Kate make a trip to the Caribbean. Many people think that they do it to help the monarchy. They want these countries to stay in the monarchy.

The first stop is a Belize village. The plan is to visit a farm. William and Kate want to land on a football pitch.

Local people protest against the visit. They don’t want William and Kate there. The couple must change their plans. They visit another place in Belize.

Difficult words: monarchy (when a country has a king or queen), land (to touch the ground of a place), pitch (a place where people do some sports).
