World Cup Dolls – level 2

Russia is preparing for the 2018 World Cup. The Matryoshka is one of the country’s most recognisable souvenirs, and people are painting some of them with the World Cup symbols.

Matryoshkas always come in a set, and each doll has a smaller doll inside itself. There can be 5 to 30 dolls in one set.

Local residents believe that the doll is the best souvenir to bring home.

Difficult words: recognisable (well-known to people), souvenir (something which you bring home from a country you visited), local resident (a person who lives somewhere).
