World’s largest cruise ship – level 1

A very big cruise ship is starting its first trip. But some people are worried.
The ship uses a special fuel. It is called liquefied natural gas or LNG. It is cleaner than the fuel which ships normally use. But when you burn it, you produce methane. Methane is a gas with no smell and color. It is not good for the air. It can make the Earth warmer quickly. The ship can have 8,000 passengers at one time. Many people like cruises nowadays.
Some experts say that LNG is worse than the usual fuel. The ship’s company says that it is better. People are watching the situation. Many new ships will probably use LNG.
Difficult words: cruise ship (a large ship which carries people on trips for fun), fuel (a material which people burn to get heat or power), liquefied (when people turn gas into liquid).
