Diana and HIV – level 1
06-09-2017 07:00
When people do not understand something, they can be afraid. People can be afraid of AIDS. They may not want to touch people with AIDS.
This was true. Princess Diana helped change things. She visited hospitals. She talked and touched people with AIDS. People saw her, and they changed.
Now it is 20 years after Diana’s death. People think and talk about how she changed the world.
Difficult words: AIDS (a very bad disease that people get through touching their blood to another person’s blood), was (past of ‘is’), saw (past of ‘see’).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
