Auschwitz Products on Amazon – level 1
09-12-2019 15:00
Auschwitz is a concentration camp in Poland for Jewish people during the Second World War. The Germans build the camp. They kill millions of people there.
Amazon starts to sell products with pictures of Auschwitz. Among these products are Christmas ornaments and bottle openers.
A lot of people get very angry and unhappy. They start to complain about the products. Auschwitz Memorial says that the products are worrying. They do not show respect to history.
Amazon’s spokesperson says that Amazon deletes the products immediately. They also inform the people who want to sell products on their site. The people must follow their rules. Amazon can delete their accounts if they do not follow the rules.
Difficult words: concentration camp (a place where people work and live during a war and many people die there), complain (to say that somebody is not happy about something), rule (something that a person must do).
You can watch the original video in the Level 3 section.
