Tunisia Attack – level 3

On Friday morning, two suicide bombers carried out an attack near the US embassy in Tunisia.
According to media, the bombers drove a motorcycle toward a police truck near the embassy, and then they self-detonated. Both attackers and one police officer died in the attack, and five people were injured.
It is not clear if the bombers were associated with an extremist group; however, Tunisian officials referred to the bombing as a terrorist attack.
Tunisia has been under a state of emergency since 2015 when three major terrorist attack killed a lot of people. The UK’s travel advisory lists Tunisia’s main terrorist threats as Al-Qaeda and Libyan-based extremists.
Difficult words: suicide bomber (a person who carries out a bomb attack with the plan to kill himself as well as other people), self-detonate (to cause an explosion that intentionally kills the person who caused it), extremist (a person who has strong ideas and may use violence to show how he feels).
